Today

I woke up up and my face looks squishier than it did yesterday.

So my newly formed (attempted) veganisism is going really well, i've had a few slip ups (like the lasange incident) but aside from that I'm getting used to it! I dont think I would have been anywhere near as successful if it wasn't for the blog of Naomi Rose, the gluttonous vegan, her recipes have been a life saver! They've also encoureaged me to actually cook stuff instead of just throwing it together! I'm of to make some sweet potato soup!

The beautiful words of Nelson Mandela, soon to be played by Morgan Freeman in Invictus; awesome! A total dude being played by a total dude! I'm also super happy they are making a film about Mandelas struggle against racism; hopefully it will help people realise that racism is just an expression of self hatred, anyone who was happy with their own lives wouldn't hate so much on other people. Peace and love guys! It's ironic that I hate, hate, but it's true if people stopped being so cruel to each other, we could actually start trying to sort out our fucked up planet. I just wish people would open their eyes, get into someone elses shoes and try to understand, shiiit it's not that hard.

The Goal...

I've been pretty lazy the past 2 days, I really hurt my shoulder and I'm struggling to do normal stuff, for example I'm using the mouse left handed; it feels weird! Anyway, so I've been feeling grumpy and sorry for myself and slacking on the uni work (in my defense it takes me like 10 minutes to write a sentence now!), BUT, Rohans mum sent him some photos and he in turn sent them to me and they are amazing! They are from the National Geographic best photos of the year and they have reminded me of what it is I am aiming for, so now I'm back on track and one day some of my photos will be included in there, even if it kills me!

I've been trying to find some awesome films to watch recently, I love kind of weirdly shot french films, of course "Amelie", but I haven't been able to find one as good as "La Haine" since I first watched that, any ideas?

Topsy-Turvy

We were given our new brief today and it is as suggested; topsy-turvy, it is just as broad and open to interrpretation as it sounds, so many different directions to go in, so many ideas! I'm really looking forward to properly getting stuck in with using film and trying ridiculous things in the darkroom! It's hard not to be slightly nervous about it though; it's still quite alien to me, everyone else seems to know what they are doing so much more so than I do! However, I'm listening to Midlake and looking through Ofer Wolberger photos and getting thoroughly inspired.

POA

The plan for today is to go on a major vintage rummage and hit every charity shop/antique shop known and easily accessible to me! The fayre is coming up again next week and I flogged some of my other stuff, so I'm running a little low on the vintage stuff; still plenty of handmade if you wanna come along, wink! Also I keep trying to make an Etsy shop but I haven't got a credit card which apparantly I need?! I can't trick it no matter how hard I try! Waaahhh.
