So for the past couple of weeks I've searching for a job; checking the internet every day etc. Then I got ill last week after a few days in Falmouth visiting the lovely Daisy, and I got a huge boost of job searching energy, over the past two days I've applied for thirty or fourty jobs and have already had interviews for two! So hopefully a few more are on the way, because I can't wait to have a job again; I've been feeling a bit lost without a job, I have no purpose to my day!
I'm a bit nervous for an interview I've got tomorrow actually; it's for a receptionist job in a posh apartment building, I think everyone will have alot more experience than me!

So I've abandoned this blog in favour of my tumblr recently, which is very sad but this one takes just that little bit more effort. Things have been kind of rough lately some recent medical news has thrown me off track and I'm not really sure what to do with myself. In other news I've very nearly finished uni which on the one hand is awesome but I'm not sure where to go next! I've been looking at university's in America to go and do a wildlife photography course out there, but I'll need a scholarship otherwise I'll never be able to afford it.

P.s I seem to continually sabotage myself and I could not tell you why.

Yesterday was Le Pubs monthly vintage fayre, it went really well! So much better than last month (it was on the same day as the rugby so...) Anyway, I managed to sell a few bits and pieces and resisted the temptation of buying more stuff! Sam and I went giving out goodie bags the day before and alot of faces I recognised from that outing turned up, so, same again next month I think!

So my newly formed (attempted) veganisism is going really well, i've had a few slip ups (like the lasange incident) but aside from that I'm getting used to it! I dont think I would have been anywhere near as successful if it wasn't for the blog of Naomi Rose, the gluttonous vegan, her recipes have been a life saver! They've also encoureaged me to actually cook stuff instead of just throwing it together! I'm of to make some sweet potato soup!

I'm also super happy they are making a film about Mandelas struggle against racism; hopefully it will help people realise that racism is just an expression of self hatred, anyone who was happy with their own lives wouldn't hate so much on other people. I've been pretty lazy the past 2 days, I really hurt my shoulder and I'm struggling to do normal stuff, for example I'm using the mouse left handed; it feels weird! Anyway, so I've been feeling grumpy and sorry for myself and slacking on the uni work (in my defense it takes me like 10 minutes to write a sentence now!), BUT, Rohans mum sent him some photos and he in turn sent them to me and they are amazing! They are from the National Geographic best photos of the year and they have reminded me of what it is I am aiming for, so now I'm back on track and one day some of my photos will be included in there, even if it kills me!

We were given our new brief today and it is as suggested; topsy-turvy, it is just as broad and open to interrpretation as it sounds, so many different directions to go in, so many ideas! I'm really looking forward to properly getting stuck in with using film and trying ridiculous things in the darkroom! It's hard not to be slightly nervous about it though; it's still quite alien to me, everyone else seems to know what they are doing so much more so than I do! However, I'm listening to Midlake and looking through Ofer Wolberger photos and getting thoroughly inspired.

I know it's late and I really should be in bed, but I've started getting scared on my own in the flat again! I got over the stupid phobia months ago, now it's back in full force! So it's been a while since my last post (which was super philosophical and whiny, I know!) anyway, lots of stuff has been going on, last Thursday I went to see Thrice in the Solus bar in Cardiff, with Rohan and Sean, Thrice were amazing...did I expect anything else?! Then Friday night I went to see Rohans band play in a place in Treforest, the guys did great but they were playing with a...mismatch of bands to say the least! The whole time I felt like I'd travelled back 5 years; there were people wearing chains around their jeans, chains! I felt like I was at Hawthorne Heights themed party. Anyway, over the weekend Rohan, Mitch and I, travelled to London to see Brand New supported by Glassjaw(insane) and Thrice(again). The whole show was crazy, but Brand New blew me away! They were so good! We met up with Ellie and Jonny who were down for the show aswell, and had a few drinks with them!
It was an awesome weekend but next time I need to go to London for a few days, because travelling there for just one night was hard work! I'm still tired! I'll post the videos from the gigs as soon as I get my arse in gear get them off my camera!

So I spoke to my ex-boyfriend Tom tonight and I wish we'd stayed friends. Fair enough going out wasn't exactly all good, but we used to have so much fun as friends and I miss it! We still have a connection and we still get on really well, but he's horrible about Rohan, although not to my face anymore admittedly, and I know Rohan feels...weird about me talking to Tom but he's still my friend no matter what's happened. Hmmmm...is it stupid to even being worrying about these things? Instead, I really should be snuggled up between the sheets.

It's been a while since I've had a really good blog browse and today I came across some beauties! Most of them fashion blogs, which have encouraged me to be a little more outgoing with what I wear and possibly do an outfit post? Probably not though, it doesn't seem it when other people do it but I'd feel horribly vain doing one, especially because most of what I wear is very very boring!
I applied for a job in the library in town today, I hope I get it, how fab would it be to work in a library?! One day I want a library in my house, with books from floor to ceiling and a ladder with wheels on, like in Beauty and the Beast! I found a couple of lovely old books of Rohans grandads the other day (the flat is like aladdins cave for stuff ike that!), my favourite being "The Conquest of Time" by H.G Wells, which sends me to sleep when I try to read it, my brain can only take intelligent literature in tiny chunks!

Why is it that money problems all seem to bundle together and pounce on you at the exact same time, couldn't it be spread out a little? I went overdrawn by 4 pounds the otherday and fair enough it was my fault, but then I couldn't get in touch with the bank because of the snow and lack of people working there, so then they decide to take my overdraft off me without telling me, now instead of being £4 overdrawn I'm now £104 overdrawn, and have hundreds of pounds worth of charges for it, surely that's not my fault and I shouldn't have to pay it? If there is a god in any shape or form, now may be a good time to pop in and lend a hand, or some money.

It hasn'tbeen quite as manic as I thought getting organised for the fayre, once I'd started sorting through everything I realised I had a bit more to my name than I thought. Sophie and I have spent alot of time making some jewellery, she provides the raw materials and I get to work! She does losts of far cuter craftier things than I do, lots of embroidery and drawing, all I do is buy lots of old junk and hope someone will buy something!
New years eve was such a good night, although alot of it was fuzzy, all I remember is lots of drinking and giggling and lovely friends around me, except for Emma who I must meet up with soon, I've abandoned her.
So the news on my car is; absolutely nothing, still no money means leaving it alone and cold in the car park until I can do something about it.

Oh I also have quite a bad chest infection which means I've spent most of my day looking at photos of Jean Seberg, so it's not all bad.

Wonderland

So Christmas was lovely! Lots of family and friend hang outs, lots of tasty mulled wine and not so tasty quorn roast (on christmas day, fail) and plenty of puddingy stuff! I got some lovely presents, piles of books and smellies and pjs and trinkets! I spent christmas eve with my mum, brother and his girlfriend Lily (my dad had to work in the night christmas eve and day) and then with my grandparents; Son and Pete for lunch christmas day! Which was awesome because they are such cool people, but I did miss having Dad around!

We went to see Peter Pan in the panto with Rohans mum and sister on boxing day, the second half was alot funnier than the first! We then went for drinks in Le Pub in the night, which was pretty quiet but good fun except for Kevin, who at the end of the night got very close (I think) to getting murdered.

A few days before Christmas, Rohan and I took his little sister Ciara out for some snow fun!And despite me being a horrible wuss when it comes to the cold, it was a brilliant day! As I type it is again another beautiful snowy day outside, even though I don't want to go out in it, it's lovely to look at!

I really really like reading other peoples blogs and, at the danger of never leaving my cave, I could read them non-stop, especially (and quite surprisingly from a very un-fashion forward me) I love the ones of people posting what they wear, how they wear it, where it's from and if the clothes are older than I am, all the better! But when people start posting stuff from random new fashion designers I lose interest because it a) bores me and b) goes over my head. Is it a bad thing? Surely I should enjoy and strive to find the new and innovative? Maybe one day I'll get it!

The Weekend

The weekend was a really good one! Me and Emma went to the T.A for a few drinks with some friends from school, I ended up ordering a cup of tea instead though, was not feeling drink drinks. I spent all of Saturday feeling sorry for myself and nursing a cold, but manned up enough to get to Le Pub, Saturday night for Stars, which was just as good if not better than the other times I've gone! Rohan got drunk and sleepy by about 9pm (slight exaggeration) but Laura, Kevin, Calvin (or Teach as he was known all night) and I didn't get to bed until about half 6 in the morning; the next day though I didn't feel half as bad as I thought I would!
Here's two videos of Journey's set, David and the guys did and awesome job! As did Terror, Alice in Chains, Bowie and Motley Crue!Also hurray at the snow and general Christmas vibe going on at the moment! I took some pictures in the snow, nothing great but it was fun. I also took a picture of the best candle in the world, that looks like a little glowing planet or something!
That's pretty much it, I think tomorrow it's Christmas shopping and preparing for the fayre in January because I finally have a small sum of money to my name, hurray!

Last night I went over to my parents house to stay the night, I do technically live there but it's rare I sleep there nowadays!
Before we went I got(kind of) serenaded by Rohan, my lovely better half, of who I will post a picture when I figure out how! The other eventful happening was my little brother reversing his car into the front of mine this morning, no major damage just the front light has gone and despite how much I love that car, I really didn't mind, much worse could have happened!
